I got really exhausted since after the concert for trying to make how my experience with the BABYMETAL/Lady Gaga concert. Here’s how I went through:
I got to the arena around 12 noon to check if there were any lines or camping out only to realize that there were the ushers at the arena. The first 200 goers receive a green bracelet and has the 2nd priority access (I believe the orange bracelets were the ones who got in way earlier, I should’ve known about that =___=) to the arena. I was the 135th goer. They wanted us to come back at 5:00pm at that time to get to the security detectors.
Afterwards, I went to the Lobby Bar to kill some time (and a couple of drinks) while waiting for a friend who was supposedly going to the concert only to find out his ADHD excuse. I went back to the gates of the arena around 4:15pm and noticing the crowd with the green bracelets start gathering up. The ushers lined us up at around 5:00 with ten detectors for 20 goers each. Went through security check and all and we got in to the arena without a hitch.
When I got into the arena grounds, I immediately went to the front of the stage trying to sneak past the “little monsters” to gain access to the guard rail. Fortunately, I was 1 person behind the guard rail and found 5 other mosh’sh mates with 2 Japanese female mosh’sh mates. We’ve talked for a while until 7:30pm kicked in.
The lights went out and the BABYMETAL/Lady Gaga Special Kamishibai (Picture show) was shown at the two projected screens above us. The crowd went wild as the Megitsune intro (similar to the Budokan intro) and the girls showed up. The live experience was way intense! I only managed to take one pic before my iPhone died on me. I was in total trance when I was singing along the same way like a true BABYMETAL fan does. The little monsters behind me were gettin’ into the beat as well as I saw some of ‘em were doing the sign of the horns. I managed to teach some of ‘em to do the Fox Sign. Two things I’ll never forget: During Doki Doki Morning, MOAMETAL was looking at me not once, not twice, but THRICE!; and the other was the cameraman was pointing at my area of the guard rail because I was singing and headbanging along to the songs. I remember that guy filmed at me twice, but I won’t be able to know until there’s a Lady Gaga/BABYMETAL DVD get released. After Ijime, Dame, Zettai and BABYMETAL’s final call, the crowd went totally nuts with high approval.
I totally lost my voice after the BABYMETAL opener. After the show, I rushed to the 2nd floor of the arena hoping there’d be some t-shirts of BABYMETAL were on sale. There were only 2 sets of t-shirts, but they only came w/ small & extra small. I only managed to get a BABYMETAL WORLD TOUR 2014 wristband for 5 bucks, but it was totally worth it.
Overall, it is the best experience and I hope BABYMETAL comes back to Vegas as a solo act this time. That’s all for my Vegas experience. For those who were reading this, I was the one with the LV cap with a black Angry Birds t-shirt, with amber-colored glasses, and wears a hachimaki (Japanese headband) wrapped around my head. I met a guy named Justin at that time and a couple of guys wearing the Gimme Chocolate shirts. 10/10, no doubt.
